#64 -- More nail art goodies!

Yesterday I got yet more nail art goodies when I went shopping at the Metro Center!

I went to a makeup stand which sells a lot of brands such as benefit, urban decay, rimmel etc. for cheaply and discovered they also did some nail art pens so I got three, a silver, pink and gold glitter. 

The silver one was £1.59 and the other two were 99p. Bargain!

I also got a pack of 100 nail tips purely for practicing nail art on!

These were only £2.99 as you can see from the sticker I left on! That was a great bargain, you also get nail glue with them although I'm unsure as to whether it will be any good or not!

I also went to Superdrug and came across some nail art pens I had never seen before, so I got some.

They are really beautiful colours a bright green and pink and a gorgeous dark blue! They also came with some stencils to use in the pack too! I cannot wait to try these out. I'm pretty sure they were around £7.00 but I got my student discount on them :).

#61 -- Nail Art Workshop!

Today was my Nail Art workshop at College and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

I took a picture of the nail art designs I did, we each did 12 on nail tips!

We used a load of nail art stuff such as striping tape, nail art pens, paints, transfers, glitter, marbelling and gems!!

What a fun day :).

Then we got to do each others nails, these are the ones I did on Nicola, who I worked with.

They are the same as the top left one on the first picture.

And these are the ones she done on me.

#59 -- Nail Haul and Nail Art Collection!

Nail Haul! 

Yesterday was a rare whole day out for me and the boyfriend so off we went into Newcastle, we wandered around for a while, went to order him some wallpaper samples in John Lewis (posh haha) and went for dinner in Frankie and Benny's mmmmm! And along the way I got some new nail art pens from Sally's!

They are new out apparently and they look amazing, they are sort of like the Nailene french tip pen but in different colours!

At the minute they only come in 5 colours and the boyfriend bought me all of them! They were on 3 for 2 so technically got one free and also 20% off :).

I love the look of the purple so far! And love that they have little pictures of nails with nail art examples on them in the bottom corner!

I opened the red one on the way home in the car because I was too excited too wait!!

As you can see they look just like felt tips and come with full instructions on the back! 

The pictures will make them go bigger if you click them :).

I decided to have a go at a french tip and heart design to try it out on my little finger!

It will be better with more practice obviously :).

The magazine we got free when going into the store had pictures of the examples of nail art you could create on them and some look fab!

I'm excited to try them out properly!!

Nail Art!

I am going to show you my ever growing nail art collection, just because I want too really :).

As you can see from the picture I have quite a lot of stickers, some nail art pens, the ones along the bottoms are from Claire's Accessories, the others are from Argos and my new ones are from Sally's as said above! I also have some glitter, dried flowers, and some rhinestones and sequiny bits in my pill box, yes a pill box, it works really well for what I hold in it :).

These are my nail canes, I am going to use them to do a 3D nail wheel of nail art when I have a spare few hours. I got a pack of 100 assorted nail canes and the blade to slice them from Ebay for £3.99, they are from Hong Kong and I thoroughly recommend getting your nail art stuff from there as the quality is great and they are usually a lot cheaper! I am definately excited to use these along with my other goodies!

I had no idea what it meant by this so I have wrote a letter to someone I love and miss dearly and included a picture of them.

Dear Grandad Doc,

It's been a long time since you went, I was only young about 6 or 7, there's still not a day goes by where I don't think about you. I wish you could be here to help my Granny get through things and to keep her company when she's lonely. I wish you could be here to tell us how proud you are of us and how you will always love us no matter what. I was always a Grandaddy's girl as a child and you used to give me sweets, crisps and money when you bashed on the floor with your walking stick, for me to come and see you. We all miss you, Granny especially! I wish you were here when we all just needed a big cuddle! The world definitely always takes the best people first. I will see you again one day :).

I love you and miss you so much!

#53 -- Minx Nails

Minx Nails is most possibly my new most favourite thing ever!

I was lucky enough today to do a workshop on Minx nails with my Beauty course and get a certificate to say I am trained in them. I got a set done by me by a lady on my course and I did a set on her! They are definitely not as hard as they first seem, so much fun! 

 This is the design I chose, we didn't have very many to choose from but this one caught my eye more so than the rest of them. I love the finished outcome and have already had a couple of people asking me about them in Superdrug.

I love them! <3

I did a set on my friend Kara who did mine before me. Hers also looked very nice!

I was interested in doing the Minx nails workshop as they looked amazing and its definitely a good thing to be qualified in when you are going for interviews/jobs in Salons. They are hugely popular at the moment!

Celebrities are CRAZY for them!

They are widely used on the likes of the Dancing On Ice contestants, Katy Perry who often has customized ones made, Rhianna and Lady Gaga, amongst more!

Next Monday: Nail Art Workshop! A full day of Nail Art! What more could one girl ask for :)

I have been watching a lot of Animal Cops Houston (sad, yes) on tv and it makes me want to try and help animals, they don't have a voice and it's so sad the way some people can treat them!
